Velocity Truck Centers Acquires Sierra Freightliner, Extending Company’S Reach To Northern Nevada

Whittier, California—April 12, 2018—Velocity Truck Centers (VTC), the leading group of commercial vehicle dealerships in the Southwest, announces its acquisition of Sierra Freightliner Sterling Western Star, Inc. This acquisition extends VTC’s reach to all of Nevada, from California, Arizona, Hawaii and southern Nevada. VTC will offer Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) products providing seamless service for Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit Diesel, Thomas Bus and the group’s other brands.

With the addition of the Sparks, Nevada location, VTC becomes one of the largest Freightliner and Western Star dealership groups in the country, with 25 locations, over 1,500 employees and $1 billion in annual revenue. VTC brings its unparalleled customer focus, including two‐hour Express Assessment and Elite Support Certification, to northern Nevada. These customers will also have access to equipment financing through VTC’s Crossroads Equipment Lease and Finance division.
